OCSC is a community based orginization. Our principal goals are to promote recreational sailing by making it more accessible, affordable and convenient, and to provide sailing-related educational services to the Ossining Community. Through the use of donated sailing vessels and experienced sailors willing to share their knowledge, the club delivers hands-on sailing experience without the expense and commitment of owning your own boat. Membership also provides yet another way of enjoying one of the unique assets of the Ossining area...the Hudson River.
Annual Membership - Membership is now $50 dollars for a single membership and $75 for a family membership. In addition, you must sign up for an Ossining Parks and Recreation Card if you don't have one. There is no need to renew this card each year The Fee is $2.00 for Village Of Ossining Residents and $4.00 for Non Residents. Also there is a $1.00 annual fee for the sailing program paid to Oss. Parks & Rec.

Members may also broadcast an E-mail to captains indicating an interest to sail. If a Captain is available they will contact you. Captains Likewise are required to E-mail broadcast when they sign out a boat.
Reservations can be made up to one week in advance.
Same Day / Drop-in Reservations
On the day of an intended sail a Captain can sign up to take a boat out a minimum of 1 hour in advance.
However keep in mind that there is a delay in the email broadcast from the calendar which can be as much as 30 minutes - try to sign up at least an hour and a half prior to your sail.

Club members are encouraged to enhance their sailing skills, eventually earning the status of "Captain" which permits a member to take other members sailing. In addition, coordination with the local chapter of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, provides other boating related training opportunities for club members. The club highly recommends that you start by taking a certified CPR course and The ABC course (boating safety). Check the links to U.S. Sailing and Boatsafe.com on the left. These are great educational resources that will help prepare you for the ABC Course.
Members are also encouraged to be active in the club and to contibute their talents.
